GarageDue Privacy Policy

Effective October 17, 2026

GarageDue (the “app”) is a vehicle maintenance tracker for iPhone, published by FNCI LLC (“FNCI”, “we”). This policy explains what the app does with your information.

The short version

GarageDue does not collect your data. There are no accounts and no GarageDue servers. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone and in the backup folder you choose. We do not receive it, sell it, or share it.

What the app stores on your iPhone

Vehicles (including optional VIN and license plate), mileage, service and fuel records, notes, reminders, receipt scans and vehicle photos. This information stays on your device.

Backups to a folder you choose

If you choose a backup folder (for example in iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive), GarageDue copies your data there so you can restore it later. That folder is controlled by you and your cloud provider under their terms and privacy policy. FNCI cannot see it.

Camera and photos

The camera is used to scan receipts, and photos can be added to vehicles. Receipt text is read on your iPhone; images are never uploaded by the app. You can use the app without granting these permissions by entering information manually, and you can turn off camera, photo library and notification access at any time in iPhone Settings → GarageDue.

VIN lookup

If you use VIN lookup when adding a vehicle, the VIN you enter is sent to the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) vPIC service to retrieve make, model and year. As with any internet request, NHTSA's servers also see your device's IP address. We do not receive or store the VIN or the result anywhere except in your records on your iPhone. See NHTSA's website for its privacy practices.

Notifications and the app icon badge

With your permission, the app shows a number on its icon for overdue items. It is calculated on your device.

What we do not do

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays until you delete it. In the app you can delete individual records or choose Delete this garage to permanently remove a garage and its receipts and photos from your iPhone and your backup folder. Deleting the app removes data stored on the phone; copies in your backup folder stay until you delete them (for example in the Files app).

Security

Your data is protected by your iPhone's built-in security. Your backup folder is protected by your cloud provider's security. Please keep your devices locked and up to date.

Children

GarageDue is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above. If a future version of the app handles data differently, we will update this policy before it is released.
